Mosaics are a series of hand drawn 5 cm X 5 cm coloured pencil squares mounted on acid free illustration board.
Mosaics may be purchased unframed, custom framed, or, for some sizes, with a standard sized frame. For custom frames, mosaic is dry mounted onto acid free matting surrounded with a double mat, UV conservation clear glass and frame of Caroline’s choice. Special shapes, requests for different moulding, and museum glass extra. Prices vary depending on frame, matting and glass choices. These will be discussed with Caroline.
Each mosaic comes with a legend that describes what each image symbolizes. When you commission a mosaic you will also receive a colour copy of the final artwork.
Caroline works with you to decide which symbols, images and predominant colours you would like to include in your mosaic. She can work from your photos (i.e. portraits, homes, cottages, pets, etc…) or you can leave it to her to create an image that reflects your ideas. This can be done in person, via e-mail or over the phone.
